Sheldon never made me feel awkward for asking to be changed or re-positioned a million times. To me, that is the skill of an absolutely fabulous nurse which will remain special to me forever.
Sheldon Moore goes above and beyond, not only for his patients but also for his co-workers. While as a patient on the neuro unit, I witnessed him jumping in to help his co-workers in any way he could help them. You can check off every single criterion for Sheldon because he is a remarkable nurse. He has helped me grow a lot in this little time I have been a nurse. He also welcomed me as a part of the “family” that I will never forget. I am so grateful and thankful to have Sheldon as a co-worker.

Sheldon was my nurse for 3 nights after I was transferred out of ICU after being in an induced coma with COVID for 2 weeks. The first 2 nights were so hard as I was not sleeping. I was so scared as I had many questions about everything that had happened to me. Sheldon was patient, calm, and caring and took the time to explain everything he could. Even when he was super busy, I felt like his only patient!! Before all of this, I was completely independent. When Sheldon met me, I was now completely dependent on others to change and position me, so I was comfortable. It was frustrating and embarrassing, and Sheldon never made me feel awkward for asking to be changed or re-positioned a million times. To me, that is the skill of an absolutely fabulous nurse which will remain special to me forever. Sheldon, you may not receive many thank yous but I hope this one patient’s thank you will let you know how invaluable you are, and do not ever forget that.
