Ashton deserves this award because during every step of our visit she went above and beyond to provide excellent patient care. We lost our baby girl to preeclampsia and my wife kept telling me she thought she did something wrong and should have done things differently. Ashton, without me saying anything about it, talked to my wife and reassured her she did nothing wrong. Ashton explained everything in detail about what was happening with my wife and what to expect. After the delivery, Ashton went above and beyond to help my wife out with things like washing her hair and keeping her clean and comfortable. Last thing, when it was time to hand off our baby, after we said our goodbyes, after we both agreed it was too hard to see our baby this way, Ashton was the only member of the hospital I felt comfortable handing her off to, now I would never see her again.
