I am nominating a very special caregiver, Ms. Megan RN who cared for me in HH ICU. I really don't know how or what to say about this young nurse. It's possible we could say, "Do you remember the Christmases you have had in years gone by? That special feeling you get in your heart when you hear carols being sung, or a special set of lights at the Ice Rink. People everywhere are helping up the people falling on the ice. Vehicles stuck in the snow and ice. Everyone trying to help each other out of their troubled situations." Megan is a lot like this. She is a non-stop type of person, but she is not rude to anyone. She helps everyone that needs her without losing sight of the load of work ahead of her. She lights up the gloomy room you are in when she enters to check on you for blood work, and meds or even to show you how to get the TV to work. She is totally into her job but always makes time to help raise your mood with her laughing and her gentle ways to make the needle hurt less when it goes into your arm. This letter may not help her win this award, but at least you will have heard firsthand how great a nurse she truly is and how lucky you are to have her. A special situation is when she shows up to work!
