Over my years of practicing adoption law, I have never had such a wonderful experience with a hospital placement as my recent experience at Winter Haven Women’s Hospital. And, for this exceptional experience, I attribute it largely to your experienced, compassionate, and professional staff …. namely Amber Ramirez.

Miss Ramirez is the epitome of professionalism as she compassionately and skillfully balanced the needs of the birth mother and the adoptive family. She was extremely sensitive and compassionate in providing care and comfort to the birth mother during this very difficult time in her life. And, she took exceptional care to comfort and address the needs of the adoptive parents and their children. She responded promptly and professionally to my telephone calls and was sensitive to my traveling needs as I am located over 2.5 hours from your hospital. In my opinion, she went above and beyond to provide services to the birth mother as well as providing me with the important and necessary information that I needed to complete my services to the birth mother.

I observed Miss Ramirez perform her nursing duties, in this difficult situation, with the utmost care and compassion. I truly appreciated that she was extremely sensitive to the needs of the adoptive parents. In my experience, they are sometimes the forgotten part of the adoption equation at the hospital. This was definitely not the case with Miss Ramirez as she treated everyone with kindness, compassion, and sensitivity, while professionally providing nursing care to her patient and the precious baby.

On occasion, I find hospitals that are not “adoption-friendly” and more frequently I find hospitals that are “adoption-friendly”. This hospital, because of your staff and staff members like Miss Ramirez, is the very best that I have ever worked with. I wanted to acknowledge and express my gratitude for the exceptional nursing care and compassion that Miss Ramirez provided in this difficult case and I hope that she knows that she is a very valuable asset to the hospital. I would recommend, without reservation, the hospital to any expectant mothers who are looking for a very adoption-friendly hospital to deliver their babies.
