Her caring compassionate personality was the highlight of our stay. She constantly would explain what was going on and ease the nerves.
I have been an RN for 50 years. Jennifer in my opinion is a prime example of how nursing is and should be. She was so caring and would spend so much time with patients as needed. She learned that we could not afford a portable blood pressure machine. She said she would find one for us. I thought she meant that she knew where to get one. We went home on a Friday and on Sunday afternoon a package was dropped off at the house. When I opened it, it was a blood pressure machine/cuff and it had to be from her.

Great personality. Very caring and aware of any needs. Had a lot of very impatient patients on the floor, always did her duties with kindness toward everyone. First time in this hospital and had a great experience.

Jennifer is an excellent nurse who goes above and beyond for the Medsurg unit. She takes her responsibility as a charge nurse seriously. She is a tremendous resource for new employees as well as the other staff. She has kept the charge nurse notebook for Medsurg up to date with all forms the charge nurse needs. She precepts a lot of the new employees (RNs) on the floor and gives them the training they need to succeed. During my time as interim director she has been my right hand. She averages 4-5- 12hr shifts a week. The patients love her, and the staff respects her. She has handled difficult patients and family members and completed these tasks professionally and appropriately. She handles the floor and ensures discharges get out in a timely manner, surgeries get bedded, rooms get cleaned, etc. We have a saying up on Medsurg “I survived Jennifer”. She pushes us and encourages us to all be better nurses.

I am D’s mom—I stayed with him for a week on the 5th floor. Jennifer was his nurse for one day and charge nurse for 2 days. Her caring compassionate personality was the highlight of our stay. She constantly would explain what was going on and ease the nerves. Even when she wasn’t his nurse, she would stop by to talk to us, check on D, and answer our questions. I really hate that we are still here, and she is leaving on 10 days off. She is amazing and totally deserves the time off. I wish everyone was like her. Thank you, Jennifer! We appreciate you!
