Her positive attitude and personality are contagious to all around her. Baylie is the Leader who makes us strive to be the best version of ourselves.
Just a few excerpts from the many nominations Baylie received: Baylie has done an amazing job as Director at SCCC and is by far the best role model I have ever been privileged to work for in my career of nursing. Her positive attitude and personality are contagious to all around her. Baylie is the Leader who makes us strive to be the best version of ourselves. She is rare and a phenomenal mentor. Anyone under her leadership should count their lucky stars because she will have your back and be your biggest cheerleader. She perseveres through any and every trial and her work is never affected by situations outside the clinic walls. I want Baylie to know that with the strong foundation she has built, we raise her up high and cheer her along in everything she does. I have worked under many Directors in my 10 years as RN and can say without hesitation that Baylie truly is the best! She is encouraging but provides constructive feedback. She is strong and confident, but humble and caring. She is serious about the work we do but also knows the importance of laughter. Many times, it was mentioned that Baylie always maintains a calm demeanor and never displays frustration or anger during stressful times. Baylie advocates and supports her staff, patients, and their families and never avoids difficult situations or uncomfortable conversations. Baylie continually shares growth opportunities with her staff and encourages them to better themselves although it may create an open position. Baylie has commented that we can’t be upset or scared to lose good employees because that means we are “doing it right”, training and encouraging employees to grow and succeed. Baylie has an impeccable reputation throughout Centerpoint and the Midwest Division due to her strong commitment to high-quality evidenced-backed, patient-centered care and high performing team she leads. She encourages staff development and actively supporting our community. She is an excellent communicator and ensures staff are informed of department goals, vision, and the “why” behind decisions made. She encourages ‘buy-in’ from staff to move forward collectively and create a strong culture of inclusion and collaboration among our vast multi-disciplinary team.
