Delaney Blazek, RN, CCU was nominated by a family who started their nomination this way, “Well I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Delaney….” The family shared a story of how Delaney made an assessment, got the patient the help he needed, all while showing compassion, support, and explanations about what was going on. In his nomination, our patient said “Yes, Delaney, you are doing God’s work, you can feel his presence and love for people when you are in the room with them.” What an amazing example of Franciscan nursing, living our mission!
