Jennifer was our son's nurse during the last few days of his life. At this time, we knew that he would not survive his injuries and he would possibly be an organ donor. Jennifer shared with us and anyone who came into the room that she was honored to be his caregiver because of his mission. Jennifer was training another nurse at the time and was such a good teacher. She handled our son with such respect and care. It was a blessing to our family to have Jennifer as our advocate. It was a comfort that Jennifer was the nurse that was with him at the time of his death in the OR. We were able as a family, to be with him in the OR, and having Jennifer there was like having an additional family member present. She managed all of the things going on in the OR with such grace and it brought us peace.
