My brother is a very stubborn man, and he does not do so well in the hospital. After his first surgery, he was so nervous that he wanted to leave even though he needed to stay and have a second surgery to remove a mass from his abdomen. This nurse went above and beyond to make him comfortable. She was so patient with him and she took amazing care of him. He was in so much pain, but she got the right medications ordered and he was finally able to sleep. He was nervous and she explained everything in a way he understood, and he was able to calm down. He was desperate for a better cup of coffee and she brought him a cup from Starbucks when she came back to work the next day! I don’t know what we would have done if my brother left the hospital against medical advice so I’m so glad that Sam was such an amazing nurse who put him at ease enough to stay. She was compassionate kind and knowledgeable! Our whole family would like to thank Sam from the bottom of our hearts.
