Jennifer is truly a DAISY Nurse Leader. Jennifer has organized the patient experience cabinet, a forum that brings the leadership team together to collaborate and develop action plans against patient experience scores. The collaboration is highlighted in an executive leadership forum allowing the leadership team to identify and explore the challenges and successes of the team in the promotion of patient and family activities that lead to improving the experience for all. This cabinet has led to many innovations that have led to improved experiences for the patients and staff within CCMC. She brings all members of the interprofessional team together which truly embodies the collaborative spirit that exists within CCMC.

Jennifer serves as a mentor to so many nurses, and staff within CCMC, her work has led to so many nurses returning to school to achieve their graduate degrees in nursing. She truly changes the lives of those around her. Jennifer has developed the magnet champion team to spearhead patient experience projects. They participate in events throughout the year to engage staff at all levels, patients and families. Jen also works with executive leadership to work with other leaders within CCMC to ensure they develop themselves and bring attainable outcomes to initiatives they participate in. Jennifer has worked extensively with the leader group to assess the needs as related to Cipher rounds. She assists them to revise and provide real-time data and support to identify the specialties that have opportunities for improvement.

Jen works very well with executive leadership within CCMC and at the corporate level in both of her roles as Magnet Director and Culture Leader. She ensures CCMC is involved in all strategic initiatives related to magnet redesignation and patient experience.
