She was a bright light in a dark time for me and I will always remember her because of her kindness and job performance.
I would like to commend one of your nursing staff for her commitment to her patients. I have been in several hospitals both in the U.S. and overseas and have never met a nurse as dedicated to her job as this nurse on the 2nd floor. I was not what you could consider a great patient. The majority of your staff were quite good at tolerating my attitude, but this young lady was outstanding in making me feel that someone really cared about me and went out of her way to ensure that I was comfortable and well taken care of regardless of my attitude. She was a bright light in a dark time for me and I will always remember her because of her kindness and job performance. I wanted you to know that you have an angel on your staff.

***

The majority of your staff were very professional and quite pleasant. The fact that I had to request that the doctor be contacted to authorize my release. There was really no reason for my being kept after the second day basically "chained" to the bed by the IV and the fall prevention alarm, making it impossible to move without contacting a nurse. There was a thorough shining star, this nurse showed total dedication to me as a patient and as a human being. Without her, it would have been the worst hospital stay I have ever endured. She is truly an Angel of Mercy as far as I am concerned, and I am certain her other patients feel the same. In my opinion, she deserves some recognition for her work.
