For my first Chemo appointment, I was anxious and fearful about the unknown. The doctor was running late, and my chemo treatment was almost rescheduled after being canceled the prior week due to insurance. With that being said, here came Vichara taking charge and bringing order to my day. Vichara made sure to explain everything that was going to happen and how it might affect me. At the same time, she calmed my fears and answered my concerning questions. She brought humor during my treatment. (I can’t tell you how much that helped me and offered a much-needed distraction). And, because of Vichara, I finished early. I was well cared for by all staff in the Infusion Center. And I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that my husband was also cared for.
