From the time he stepped into our lives it has been nothing short of amazing. We came to the hospital not knowing what to expect confused scared and very upset. Our mother had a stroke and was care flighted in. From the moment we stepped foot into this unit, Gustavo started caring for us and showing love and compassion in every way possible. He took over and we did not have to worry about anything other than our mom and staying beside her. We had a few issues but even then, it was taken care of. He stepped up on our behalf and went to bat for us. He met family and would answer any and all questions and sometimes the same questions. He would explain more in-depth what the doctors meant.

As I sit here and write this, we are waiting for mom to take her last breath and he is right with us for our every need. We truly can’t thank him enough for showing us respect, compassion, and many other things through this very hard time in our lives. We are very blessed to have had him here with us through this very hard time in our lives and hope that he will be recognized for the amazing nurse and person that he is. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
