I was admitted to the inpatient unit and Shannon came down to the ED to take me to my room. Shannon was very pleasant and friendly. She checked me in. later she took me for a walk. On that day I was feeling really down, Shannon came in and changed the location of my IV- which she was able to do pain-free! Shannon was very reassuring and comforting. Very compassionate. Shannon brought me information about my condition and also a diet menu. Both of these are very helpful. Shannon was able to put me at ease and make me feel better in my mind. I believe that Shannon was the best nurse I have ever had. Competent, compassionate, caring, and kind. Even with the best medications and doctors, a nurse can make all the difference in the world and help heal a very scared, feeling-down patient. I am thankful that Shannon was my nurse, especially on that very day when I guess I needed a kind and compassionate caregiver.
