Thomas “Tommy” Garceau started Cedars Sinai as a volunteer at 5 North and worked in the ER as NCT while going to school as a Registered Nurse. Tommy is a superb nurse. He has a positive outlook, a curious mind, and a "can do" mentality. Tommy is always willing to take on any task. He always goes above and beyond to discover the best solution by enlisting the help of the appropriate parties and keeping in mind what is best for the patient, their families, and/or the staff members involved. He possesses all the qualities required to be an exceptional nurse, including empathy, compassion, patience, critical thinking, excellent communication skills, knowledge, and the ability to work as a team and lead others. Tommy has won Employee of the Month after consistently receiving positive feedback from his patients, patients' families, and coworkers. He is an Extraordinary Nurse! Tommy is such a wonderful nurse, and I am so grateful to have him as a colleague.
