My stay at Fairview Hospital was really wonderful! The staff here was so friendly and supportive; however, one staff member really stood out to me. I had given birth to my beautiful baby boy on Thursday, but early morning Friday he was taken to the NICU, which is an absolutely frightening and heartbreaking experience, especially as a first-time mom. On Saturday, a nurse walked into my room and sat down, and showed me a level of kindness and support that is absolutely above and beyond the call of duty.

Tricia checked on me to make sure I was making myself a priority and stressed the importance of my recovery as well as listening to the details of what was going on with my son. She asked for updates and checked in with me several times, each time making me feel comforted and loved. The amount of compassion she has is remarkable. My husband and I were supposed to be leaving on Saturday and she told us that we could stay in a smaller room that wasn't in use so we could be nearby while they figured out what was wrong with our son. It is my understanding that she was our number one advocate for this decision. We were completely blown away by that great show of compassion!

She helped us move our belongings to the new room and made sure our new room was fully stocked with everything I needed for my postpartum recovery. Tricia checked in with me and wanted an update on our son's condition before she left for the day. She also brought more supplies and made sure we had everything we needed on her way out for the day. She really made an enormous impact on how we will look back on our experience at this hospital! We really wanted to share our experience and make sure she gets recognition for how incredible she is! I cannot say 'thank you' to her enough for everything she has done for us - she truly is an incredible woman with a loving heart!
