We received a patient post gastric sleeve who had outpatient complications. Upon assessment, Narmadha noticed the patient was not looking well and realized something was immediately wrong with the patient ... she called the surgical team and they agreed with her assessment.

During the emergency, Narmadha maintained her advocacy by ensuring proper identification was completed, especially during blood product administration. She kept insisting that "these are the times we should be diligent with making sure the ID is appropriate."

Through her good questioning attitude and escalations, Narmadha saved the patient's life and ensure that they were able to recover quickly. She is an Extraordinary Nurse!
