I reached up and grabbed her hand she got a chair and sat with me. She told me, "I'm going to sit here with you until you fall asleep".
I'm a 79-year-old woman & a survivor of 4th-stage ovarian cancer in 2002. I was in great health afterward for 20 years then my husband passed away in 2020 and I developed Cancer of the tongue. I was grinding my teeth at night after my husband died so I'm not sure if that's what caused it. I had surgery at the Mayo Clinic. Liz worked the night shift and I looked forward to seeing her each night. The whole atmosphere in the room would change when she came in the room. She was bubbly and upbeat & made me smile. I could not speak at first & when she came in one night, I was at a very low point I was feeling down. I reached up and grabbed her hand she got a chair and sat with me. She told me, "I'm going to sit here with you until you fall asleep". What an Angel, I will never forget her, and I've told many people about her and it always makes me cry remembering it. She made such a difference; I cannot say enough about the gratitude I felt for her great attitude. She was a ray of sunshine during a very difficult situation. Thank you, Liz, you're forever in my heart.
