It’s difficult to put into words how I could see my husband relax and feel that he was being taken care of by a family member.
In real life you have your daily routine; then you see your doctors and they say you need another heart catheterization & TEE. You’re in a waiting area, prepped and ready for the procedures. Of course, I’m worried. When Kristen B walks into my area and talks to me, she has “all” of the above and every 15 minutes she’s there checking on me. I feel better. I’m home now but will not forget the excellent care I received at St. Luke’s and having Kristen as my nurse.

My husband had a pacemaker installed. He was doing OK, but the doctor wanted him to stay overnight. I didn’t want him to stay because I was nervous about leaving him. I couldn’t stay with him overnight!! When we were transferred to an overnight room, Krissy was my husband’s nurse. The moment we met Krissy I knew everything would be OK!! She was so welcoming and instantly put us at ease!! She was all the things listed above but even more, we could tell she loved what she does! Her personality was fun, and personable, and acted like she was taking care of her own grandpa. It’s difficult to put into words how I could see my husband relax and feel that he was being taken care of by a family member. During the first hour, my husband wanted to know who her supervisor was because he wanted that person to know what a privilege it was to be under her care. Are you sure she’s not a real angel? Krissy is a true DAISY Nurse.

Recently, I had a pacemaker installed. Following surgery, the doctor thought I should remain overnight. Nurse Krissy was absolutely wonderful. It didn’t take long for my wife and me to realize she was a jewel of a nurse who also was a kind, thoughtful caregiver who was a true professional and a wonderful caregiving lady. She cared for us like a daughter having to care for her loved ones. We felt like she happily cared for us with every need or question as she cares for her parents. She was a happy caring caregiver who cared for our every need with a smile and a cheerful caring voice. I believe she is an ambassador of care and cheerfulness that raises the spirits of everyone she cares for.
