With the start of this new pandemic, our new nurses had to quickly adapt to a new situation. Myrna Ramirez, being one of these nurses, quickly grew in the Med/Surg Department. Her excellent care and motivation gained her a quick but earned nomination to float to the ICU during the third wave. She is an excellent nomination for the DAISY Award not only because of her care and dedication, but her teamwork and bedside manners are of the highest standards. She ensures her patients are taken care of and speaks up and advocate for her patients. She is not afraid to take a task head-on and ask for help when she needs to. She helps out her co-workers when she has time and has become a great asset now in the Medical Surgical Department with her Critical Care experience. Myrna is now assigned the role of resource nurse when she is on the Medical Surgical floor and uses her ICU knowledge to ensure high-quality patient care.
