Nancy Meck is one Super Nurse. Nancy has such a wholesome personality; she not only impressed J and me (wife/caregiver) but made our first encounter a very pleasant one. She respected our opinions, preferences, and practices, and was never opinionated. Through the course of our nurse-patient relationship, Nancy not only demonstrated her clinical expertise, but also her vast knowledge of almost everything, which she always shared with us. She always updated us on J's health status, lab results, underlying symptoms, medication actions, and side effects.

We, especially me, learned a lot, and continue to learn from her as to how I, as a caregiver for J, stay focused on the salient things to improve J's health. Nancy is our number one advocate for Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Social Work, Home Health aides, other home health staff, and suppliers. Nancy is also very good at follow-ups which really helps to focus every staff member on the continuity of care.

Lastly, Nancy earned 5 stars with J because of her knowledge and passion for sports. J is such an avid fan of sports and Nancy's knowledge of sports, whether it is baseball, basketball, or football, really awed J and finally me when she got me on the bandwagon because of her enthusiasm. We thank God every day for the blessings of having Nancy as our nurse, J's primary physician and having Kaiser Home Health manage our health.
