He taught me a lot about hope and fighting to get well and strong again.
I’ve been in a lot of pain and scared of what may come. The very recent loss of my son, which prolonged my stay, was making me more depressed. I felt hopeless at this point and while almost all the staff was very kind and helpful, one stood tall above them all. Calling him a nurse doesn’t do him justice because he was kind, on time, and very professional at what he does, taking special care of his duties as a professional nurse, but also as a human. A kind heart, encouraging words, and giving hope to see the good and the things we often forget about – being thankful for what we have and to never give up.
He has compassion and is a true gentleman who clearly loves not just the job, but he cares for and shows respect for his patients as well. He made my stay so much better. He taught me a lot about hope and fighting to get well and strong again. He took the time to listen to my fears and explain everything I asked as well. It’s truly people like him who help people to recover and be at ease.
So, I would like to say THANK YOU- Your compassion will never be forgotten. You’re a true nurse in 100 percent of the term. Never lose that side of you. It’s rare anymore, but what separates nurses from DAISY Nurses! Real nurses who took their job, oath, and career to be the best they can be.
