If she was unsure of an answer to any of my questions, she didn't brush me off or flippantly reply, she looked for and made sure that I understood everything concerning the answers.
Today, a little after 9 am, I was taken back to get ready for EGD. Julia was my RN and I can't remember when I have had such exceptional care. She left no stone unturned - everything was done with exactness, extreme care, and in tune with my complaints of how lousy I was feeling. She cared for my every whim - from being cold to assuring I was comfortable while she prepped me. If she was unsure of an answer to any of my questions, she didn't brush me off or flippantly reply, she looked for and made sure that I understood everything concerning the answers. I know I wasn't an easy case due to meds and health history and age that only increased her workload then. I also appreciate that she told me (without asking) my bp and oxygen. I feel that all healthcare workers are underappreciated due to the number of people who treated this pandemic with seemingly little concern that could have helped make frontline workers' life easier. People can't seem to think past their own needs or cares. That is not true of the surgery center staff, though. They are all exceptional, courteous, polite and professional. Above all though, Julia gets the MVP. Thank you and stay well!
