Ginger took excellent care of my father over the weekend. My father experienced bad symptoms from the anesthesia and morphine after his hip replacement surgery. He is 81 years old, diabetic, and prone to UTIs due to his previous prostate cancer surgery so he does not tolerate the pain meds very well. He gets confused, can’t stay awake, is belligerent, sometimes unresponsive, anxious, and agitated. Through all of this, Ginger was very patient, calm, and understanding. She was able to get him to respond and do things she asked when others could not. She retained a good attitude, laughed and smiled, and was very responsive when we needed her. She was attentive to his needs and appreciative of the additional information regarding his behavior and previous health history that my mother and I provided. She took excellent care of my father in and professional and personal manner which we greatly appreciated. She is an outstanding nurse and should be honored as such. *She was also quick to assist the other nurses, staff, and physical therapists when needed. She was quick to offer before they had to ask.
