Lindsey was my mother’s nurse in the SSDU on her 2nd day after a Whipple surgery. My mother was very uncomfortable and Lindsey did everything she could to support her. When my mother needed meds or an alarm was going off, Lindsey was there. She was kind, caring, sweet, and funny. She was wonderful at explaining to us what she was doing and why. When I needed to speak to Lindsey privately and got choked up, Lindsey supported me in getting anxiety medication for my mother when she started to panic. Lindsey even brushed my mother’s hair, made a rubber band out of a medical glove, and put her hair up in a cute bun to keep it from tangling in her cords and tubes. I am so thankful for the day Lindsey cared for my mother and supported her in the transition to a new floor. Thank you, Lindsey! Please know you are appreciated!
