She assists our tiniest patients with their fears every day and makes them comfortable even when they are getting shots.
Laura is a caring, compassionate, wonderful LPN. She came to our office about 2 years ago during the beginning of the pandemic and has embraced her new role. She had not had much experience working with pediatric patients as she primarily worked with adults at her previous clinic. When we asked if she would support a family medicine physician and a pediatrician she stated "I don't have much experience with kids, but sure I'll do it." She has grown in her knowledge of pediatric patients in a very short time. The doctor she works with loves to teach and has helped her grow and expand her comfort and knowledge of pediatric patients.
In checking in with her regularly she has stated "I didn't realize how much I would enjoy working with kids." Laura's positive attitude speaks to her dedication to her peers, patients, and physicians as they all love working with her. She volunteers for "jobs" in the clinic, takes initiative to make things better, and her laughter is contagious. She assists our tiniest patients with their fears every day and makes them comfortable even when they are getting shots.
Float staff and providers love working with her when they are here. They tell us that she is so kind, caring, and a wonderful nurse. She is a joy to work with and an asset to the Ken Caryl Team.
Peer comments: She is always helpful, taking special projects around the clinic, and cheerful. She is a pleasure to work with. Quiet demeanor, easy to talk to, helpful. Her husband thinks she hung the moon and the stars; she has to be all that and a bag of chips!!!!!
