Catherine was our nurse today and made us feel so comfortable.
Catherine was amazing! Aside from everyday nursing responsibilities she had, she also shared great tips for my son’s cradle cap. Catherine gave our son a bath and made sure we knew he was the cutest baby around! Catherine is a mom of two children and was happy to take the time to share her experiences and always help us understand what was going on with our son. She showed so much compassion and love at a time when we needed a lot of it. Thank you, Catherine!

I wanted to thank my son’s nurse as much as I can. Today is day 14 of our stay here. We have been faced with the worst decision we will ever have to make as parents for our three-month-old baby boy. We have had many amazing nurses from the very beginning. Catherine was our nurse today and made us feel so comfortable. She went above and beyond to take care of our son and me, in every way. I didn’t want to eat but she insisted I order a tray of food to make sure I took care of myself for my son. She spoke up to tell me a personal story about what we were dealing with. She told me in a comforting way about a previous experience about what to expect taking our baby off life support. She didn’t treat our son as if he was already gone.
We talked for almost an hour and she invited me in to help give my baby a bath and get him clean from head to toe. In my own words to explain her impact: she uses the mother standard of care which is treating her patient and our family as if it were her own family. The saying “Treat others how you want to be treated” is her, it is the ultimate definition. She is nothing short of amazing. I think she is the most caring nurse. She went above and beyond her job title and I’ll never be able to thank her enough. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. She comforted me during the most awful time of my life. She inspired me to finish nursing school in the hope to be even half the nurse she is. Thank you!
