Henry Ford Macomb Hospital’s Daisy committee recognizes our Emergency Department with our 2022 DAISY Team Award based on a collection of patient comments and thank you notes received throughout the year that support the spectacular medical care you provide. The ED is the “front door” of the hospital for many. Your team is often the first touchpoint patients and families have with us. They arrive at their most vulnerable, feeling nervous, tired, frustrated, or even terrified, above and beyond whatever sickness they are dealing with. They often take out their emotions on your team. Despite that, you remain professional, compassionate, helpful, and empathetic. You do your best to keep them calm and make them comfortable while providing lifesaving medical care.
