Katelyn made herself available on her very busy day. Although I am hospitalized quite often, I have never come across a nurse quite as compassionate as Katelyn. I had surgery yesterday and a UTI, Katelyn was very cautious dispensing pain medication no matter how much pain I was in. Once I was out of the dark (low blood pressure) she made sure she didn’t leave until I was out of pain.

Another specific thing that Katelyn did that nobody else has done, explains the risks and dangers every time she dispenses medications. I have never had this done before. When you are suffering, bed-bound, scared, miserable, and alone in the hospital for the first time ever, in this hospital Katelyn became not only my ally but my angel in here. Seriously, I felt like I had my deceased little sister with me by my side. I know that sounds morbid, and that is not my intention. She just has the heart of my little sister. Every time I needed her and called her, she was there.

Also, Katelyn was very thorough in going over my discharge paperwork, explaining vitals, answering all my questions, calling doctors for me, pharmacies, etc. She is just an all-around complete superstar of a nurse. AHSV is a much brighter place since Katelyn has walked through the door! And each patient she has past and or present will never forget her and will be touched for a lifetime. Thank you Katelyn for truly blessing me and touching me with your skills, your knowledge, and especially your heart.
