I was shockingly awoken and fearfully aroused. Another patient was being brought into my room. The patient’s disposition, mannerisms, and character that I was witnessing were alarming, to say the least. I watched from the beginning to just now, and the professional, compassionate care, and concern that went into play by play by the staff of Mt. Sinai was nothing short of spectacular.

The way they addressed the high-potential moment of violence by keeping all concerned safe, then working normally, being around, carrying on their work, and all insinuation of threat and harm was removed. To see Katie make a request to this same person and it is responded to with a clear desire to oblige really was nothing short of spectacular. What can I say? Thank you, Katie, thank you Mt. Sinai. I just want to thank Katie for going the extra mile. She has been great from day one. Katie is doing the job just like the rest of the morning team, but today she was on top, calling to see why I’m still here after 4 days. The doctor came up and she volunteered to help out with my procedure since the doctor was going to stay late as well. She is a great nurse and a sweetheart. Thank you.
