Kira was my mom's nurse this weekend and she went above and beyond to ensure that my mother was moved periodically to address a small wound she had on her back. She also found a large recliner chair and brought it into the room so my mom could eat lunch and be more oriented to her surroundings after 4 weeks of hospitalization. She asked me specific questions about my mom's rare condition, and we talked about what she could do to help her. Kira was also training another nurse on how to record pressure sores and she was very detailed in how she did it. I know she had many patients because the unit was full this weekend, but she made my mother feel like she was the most important person at Christiana Care. She was on top of her bathroom needs and I think she was one of the finest nurses we've had in these many weeks at CC. Thank you!
