Dr. Tomko is an asset to the College of Nursing, and it's been remarkable to see her impact in real time.
Dr. Tomko is an amazing addition to the nursing faculty at Upstate. She is engaging and enthusiastic in regard to both education and the nursing profession. Although many of the professors advise students to reach out with questions or feedback regarding class or the material being taught, Dr. Tomko really seems to take this to the next level. She genuinely seems interested in our feedback and invested in our education. Dr. Tomko is a great advocate for her students and makes me feel heard and supported. I truly want Dr. Tomko to know how appreciated all her hard work and support are!

I have been able to see the impact Dr. Tomko has on her students. She is invested in the content as well as in the growth of her students. Dr. Tomko utilizes creative approaches to ensure learning and fun take place in the hybrid setting. I have been impressed with her engagement as well as with her ability to connect and provide excelled evidence-based nursing education to students. One of my favorite things she has been doing is playing Jeopardy with her FNP class. She uses course content as questions and the students seem to love the experience. Dr. Tomko is an asset to the College of Nursing, and it's been remarkable to see her impact in real time.
