Even though we did not get to take our baby home, we will still be able to look back on one of the saddest days of our lives with a fondness for our labor and delivery story because of Virginia and the rest of your team.
My husband and I felt so overwhelmed with gratitude that we really wanted management to know how amazing your labor and delivery staff are. We lost our baby over the weekend. From the triage nurse to the OR tech, every single nurse treated us with so much kindness and compassion. I was apprehensive that we would be a lesser priority since other mothers were still birthing living babies on the floor; however, this proved not to be the case.

All of your nurses treated us with just as much respect and attentiveness. They sat with us, cried with us, held my hand, rubbed my back, and called my baby by name. Nurse Virginia went above and beyond even these kindnesses. She stayed past her shift when things got scary for me and I began losing too much blood. She advocated for me and stayed right by my side until she could personally see me off to the OR. Even though we did not get to take our baby home, we will still be able to look back on one of the saddest days of our lives with a fondness for our labor and delivery story because of Virginia and the rest of your team. I know your staff is tired and weary from working during this pandemic, but they continue to show up in a big way. We were blown away. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
