Nurse Matt was there to help me relax. While I was waiting, he showed me pictures of his dogs and talked to me about other random things to distract me. When the procedure started, I did not respond to the sedation. Nurse Matt realized I wasn’t having a reaction and that I was not relaxed or having pain relief. He held out his fingers while monitoring me and let me squeeze his hands as I was in pain. He kept talking to me and kept me calm as I dealt with the pain.
Afterward, he told me how great I did and did an amazing job keeping me comfortable after the procedure ended and letting me rest. Nurse Matt reassured me and my mother during my procedure and afterward. I 100% believe if Nurse Matt was not there, I would be crying and in a ton of pain. I’ve been dealing with so many health problems and having so many procedures. A lot has been absolutely unpleasant and very painful. Even though it was a painful experience, Nurse Matt got me through it and I am so grateful to him.
