I have had CCRN Sobal respond to the jail on several occasions and he has always interacted with my medical staff, custody staff, and patients with grace and professionalism.
This came from an outside medical facility administrator but it is just one of the many times Vince has gone above and beyond for his patient.:

I am the Health Services Administrator at the Essex County Correctional Facility. I wanted to take the opportunity to recognize your team members. An inmate patient suffered partial thickness burns resulting in an ALS transfer to St. Barnabas Medical Center for treatment. I was working on the floor as a staff nurse that evening and was treating the patient in question. I want to say both your BLS and ALS crews were outstanding. They were swift professional and communicative. They discussed their concerns with the case comfortably with each other.

I would also like to take this opportunity to recognize CCRN Sobal. Obviously, he assessed the situation and immediately recognized that the patient would require transfer to the burn unit due to his injuries and swiftly called the chief and made arrangements for the out of area transport. He quickly reassured my Spanish-speaking patient. More importantly, I have had CCRN Sobal respond to the jail on several occasions and he has always interacted with my medical staff, custody staff, and patients with grace and professionalism. I am always relieved to see him and confident in transferring my patients to his care every single time. He is an asset to your program and an asset when responding to the jail.
