I had a very traumatic emergency birth after being transferred from Northampton to Coventry. I’m 23 years old and my first baby, E, was born at 25 weeks gestation and was taken to NICU. This was probably the hardest thing I have gone through. I suffer from mental health and was finding everything overwhelming.

From the very first day, a nurse called Estel was caring for my baby. She immediately reassured me and made me feel so much calmer over the weeks my baby has had such difficulties. We even had to travel up to stay overnight as she was critical with sepsis. Through all this, Estel kept us going with her kindness, smile, and caring words. At times we were struggling so much, and she has always been there for our baby, taking time to send videos and pictures to make us feel better on days we can’t travel.

The care she gives my baby is second to none; she is truly our hero in so many ways. We are so blessed to have her and she has touched our hearts so very much. I truly believe she has saved our tiny baby’s life and got us through so many long, heart-breaking days. Please, please consider Estel, she really is our hero, and thanks to her care and loving nature, our baby is now awaiting transfer to HDU at Northampton where she will stay until discharge.
