Makayla cared for my sister while she was in the Critical Care Unit at the Regional Hospital of Scranton. My sister is elderly with multiple medical issues. Makayla was so attentive to my sister’s needs. She was extremely professional and at the same time showed so much compassion for my sister and our family.

My sister was a nurse in Intensive Care at this hospital when it was known by a different name. She was a nurse for over 50 years and cared for each and every one of her patients with the same kindness and compassion Makayla showed her.

I am also a registered nurse and understand that now more than ever the stress nurses endure when caring for their patients. My sister and our family are eternally grateful to Makayla for the exceptional care she provides. Makayla exemplifies the nursing profession and is more than deserving of this recognition.
