I came to the ER by myself in almost a critical state. When I was taken to my ER room, my nurse Robin was “johnny on the spot” to begin caring for me. Through the first set of questions, I became anxious and realized that I was clear if I wanted anybody to treat me. I confided in Robin who immediately collaborated and communicated to the ER doctor of my concern. Being in a state of total vulnerability and not knowing why I was having the trouble I was, she reassured me through her confidence and compassion while continuing to exhibit the high skill level that was needed to navigate and manage my condition. I felt 100% certain that Robin was the nurse to advocate for me since my voice and body movements were limited. The whole team figured out what was happening to me, and both Robin and the physician came to explain to both my daughter and I what was occurring This was a relief to trust such a skilled and over-the-top assertive nurse who would make sure that I was going to receive the best care. (I hope this is making sense). Thank you again Robin from the bottom of my heart, and my daughter’s for helping me during a very critical event in my life. Premier saved my life because of a nurse like Robin.
