Yashu patiently held her hand and stated that she wanted to stay with her and that she didn't want to leave her.
My mother was a patient in the ICU. She required multiple procedures under anesthesia and returned to the ICU a short time following the shift change. Yashu was extremely kind and compassionate in the care provided to my mother. We left soon after her return to ICU and Yashu was very patient and understanding as well as, informative during our phone conversation to assess her status during the night following her procedures. Mom describes a time during the night when she was crying and uncomfortable and she told her nurse she just wanted to be left alone. Yashu patiently held her hand and stated that she wanted to stay with her and that she didn't want to leave her. This, to me, demonstrates the very definition of compassion and this was displayed with every encounter with Yashu. I wanted to recognize her for her patience and understanding in caring for my mother. She is very much appreciated.
