Danielle was working in the NICU at Baptist Hospital during clinical. Danielle received multiple compliments from ALL of the nurses that worked this unit on the day he worked in the NICU. They praised her knowledge, compassion, and teamwork. They had an admission of a preterm infant that was in respiratory distress and they had to intubate the newborn. The nurses reported that Danielle and her peer were extremely helpful during this situation. They assisted in multiple ways and documented during the admission and intubation so the NICU nurses were able to focus on the newborn. The nurses commented that they have never had students in the NICU who were so knowledgeable and helpful. Both students were encouraged to apply to the unit when they graduated.

Dani was and is my number one through nursing school. When I was down and out she reminded me of where we both started. She was always positive and kept pushing me. She sent me scriptures before exams which warmed my heart. I am so glad I met her and we became friends. We need more Dani's in this world. She is passionate about not only school and work but life in general. She loves the people around her and always wants to make sure the people she cares about are taken care of.
