My father had been battling late-stage Alzheimer's. For the past two weeks, he had been in Jupiter Medical and then rehab. He was rushed back to the ER on Wednesday as he aspirated and developed pneumonia. We had been discussing hospice for a while but didn't know where to begin. As soon as we entered the room Scott was the angel we needed for our father. He saw the distress he was in. He took the time to talk me through the process, spoke to the doctors, and had a hospice consult RN meet with us within the hour. From the moment he met with us, we felt safe, heard, and like we could breathe for the first time in weeks. The care he showed my dad was beautiful. He truly is a very special person and we cannot say enough about him. We will forever be grateful for the compassion he showed my father and our family.
