Kim is passionate about labor and delivery and postpartum and her passion poured out onto us and helped us be excited about clinicals on these units.
Kim was my clinical instructor for Labor and Delivery and Postpartum at IU North Hospital in Carmel during the first half of the Spring 2022 semester. Kim is a positive and encouraging instructor who ensured we got the most out of our clinical experience and she helped us to understand the reason different interventions are used in labor and delivery. Kim advocated for us to get the most out of our clinical experience. She encouraged us to be as hands-on as possible. Kim is passionate about labor and delivery and postpartum and her passion poured out onto us and helped us be excited about clinicals on these units. Kim helped us to learn about the medications used in labor and delivery and to understand why these medications are used. Kim coached us on writing good care plans, and she provided detailed feedback that helped us learn more about providing interventions that will help new moms and babies achieve better outcomes. Kim made herself available to answer our questions and she went out of her way to ensure all our questions were answered and that we understood what was going on with our clients so we will also be knowledgeable nurses.
