My dad was in Stage 4 Colon Cancer. It had been over a year and a half of chemotherapy, hospital visits, infections, ICU admissions, and the list goes on. My dad had become frustrated, and tired and his physical and mental journey had taken a toll. He was at a very low point mentally when he was transferred to Unit 33 and met Da Fang. Da Fang was my dad’s nurse and boy, she walked in with a presence. Her attitude and joy were contagious. She laughed, made my dad exercise, and made my dad feel special. That is no small task for what he had endured. Every time she checked in on him, he would immediately break into a smile. A big smile. Her care and concern along with her attitude made a difficult process a little easier and for that, we are eternally grateful. Whenever we recount his last days, we will forever remember Da Fang and her remarkable care. Thank you!
