Mr. Hall has developed relationships across the organization and utilizes those to assist in providing Veteran centered care thus improving outcomes.
During this time Mr. Hall has been employed as care manager and most recently promoted to the role of Assistant Nurse Manager of the Hyannis CBOC. Mr. Hall is a natural leader who is well respected by the management team, his fellow collogues, and the Veterans he serves. Mr. Hall is knowledgeable, reliable, and responsive, therefore the staff in the clinic and the Veterans seek him out to utilize him as a resource.
Mr. Hall recently developed and implemented processes and procedures for the completion of pain agreement consents for long-term opioid therapy. Mr. Hall developed an instruction sheet for completion of the opioid consent in IMed consent Web. The instruction sheet was distributed to Providers and Nursing staff in all three of the Community Based Outpatient Clinics along with laminated references which were placed in the proximity of the computer where constant would be obtained. Mr. Hall has instructed all Providers and Nursing staff on the accurate completion of IMed consent for long-term opioid therapy via the monthly all Community Based Outpatient meeting between Middletown, Hyannis, and New Bedford. This has allowed for the continuation of the Community Based Outpatient Clinic high percentage of completion for long-term opioid consent agreements for all providers. The Hyannis Community-Based Outpatient Clinic is currently at 100%.
Mr. Hall provides exceptional care going above and beyond to meet the needs of the Veteran. Mr. Hall has developed relationships across the organization and utilizes those to assist in providing Veteran centered care thus improving outcomes. Mr. Hall recently had a traveling Veteran who was in need of monthly Mental Health injections while on Martha’s Vineyard for an extended period. At the request of the Traveling Veteran Coordinator Mr. Hall was able to communicate directly with the Veteran’s home VA provider in Puerto Rico, to insure that the veteran's medication would be expressed delivered to the Veteran in time for the narrow period of time Mr. Hall would be available on the island to administer the medication. This allowed for the Veteran to receive his medication on time, without the need to travel to the Hyannis Community-Based Outpatient Clinic and without the need to use community care resources both saving the Veteran time and the VA funds. It is a great privilege to recognize Mr. Hall for his outstanding efforts as a DAISY Nurse Leader.
