During her time here, she has been a strong advocate for process changes
I have had the pleasure to work with this outstanding nurse for a couple of years. Our role in clinical intake is a tad different than your normal nursing. We are working with thousands of families to make sure that they get scheduled correctly. During her time here, she has been a strong advocate for process changes and making sure that every family we help feels like we are working with them as individual families and not as an entire group of patients. Her knowledge from working in previous places at Seattle Children's has helped her to bring an understanding to work that is done in ambulatory care. She is a great partner to have because she knows the staff and can help them better understand our role. Marie has had several roles in a short time. She was precepting new staff and then became our wonderful charge nurse. Did I mention she is currently our interim manager while our manager is on maternity leave?

My favorite story is at the beginning of COVID on my birthday she showed up at my house to bring me a bubble tea and set it outside my house because her dedication for celebration and teamwork goes beyond. Marie is one of the strongest nurses I have ever met during my 21 years here at Seattle Children's. There are no words that I can express that would let the organization know how valuable she is to our team and to our patients and families. Thank you, Marie!!
