1.) Carla is hands down the best nurse ever. She has made our stay a delight. She clearly loves her job and loves her patients. Her bedside manner and caring, loving, funny personality lifted our spirits constantly. She decided she was going to “adopt” my son and made him very comfortable. I think every time I heard her with a patient, she was the same with everyone. How lucky you are to have her as part of your team. I couldn’t pick one single situation because she was amazing every time, we saw her. Thank you, Carla.

2.) Carla is one of a kind. I am in the medical field, and I know firsthand how lucky we were to have her. She treated us like family from the time she met us. She made my son’s gloomy days better. She made him laugh; she made him smile. She always made him feel like he was her priority. How lucky this hospital is to have her on your team. I can not single out one situation because she constantly is amazing. Thank you, Carla. You will forever be our favorite. You deserve to win the DAISY Award in our eyes. There is always good in a situation and always something to be thankful for…you are what we are thankful for. "Nurse" is just another word to describe a person strong enough to tolerate everything and soft enough to understand everyone. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.
