I had 2 surgeries on my left breast. Kacey Schmitz took care of me both times. I was so scared, and she answered all of our questions. During my second surgery, I was upset and cried. She hugged me and said, "It's going to be ok, we got this!" She just took me under her wings, like the little angel she is, and took the BEST care of me. I love that she is so positive, and compassionate and truly takes such good care of her patients. I also heard her with other patients and she was so wonderful to all of us! She also was asking my husband and brother-in-law if they needed anything or had questions too. She got me warm blankets before and after surgery. She even took my bag and clothes to my room. I feel so honored to have had such a wonderful nurse take care of me. "She is my hero!" She kept making sure I wasn't in pain and was comfortable. I feel we have the BEST hospital in Maryville. And we sure have one of the best nurses - Kacey. She sure made my experience so much better. She makes you feel like family and that you matter and will get better soon. I feel that God put Kacey there for me during both of my surgeries! I just love her to pieces. Thank you, sweet Kacey. You're one of the best nurses on this Earth!
