Knowing you have the best nurses and doctors to care for your loved one helps ease the anxiety felt by everyone when coming into an ER.
My husband became a patient after a fall at our house on August 26th. He broke his leg. After the fall he lay outside in the rain for 30 minutes before the neighbor heard him screaming for help. Once EMS arrived, they asked where I wanted them to take him, I said, "South, I just left there a few hours ago."  When I arrived, I was naturally nervous. Heather came into the room and said, "I thought I heard your voice," as I was explaining how this happened (in a very excited voice) she came beside me and then hugged me tight and said, "I prayed peace over you both."  Immediately I felt calmer and at peace. Knowing you have the best nurses and doctors to care for your loved one helps ease the anxiety felt by everyone when coming into an ER. She was so understanding too. I feel like she treated my husband as if he were her own! She is so deserving of this award.
