As a staff member of two departments that Courtney manages, I can honestly say that I couldn't be happier coming to work every day. Courtney has truly been a tremendous leader in both the Infusion Center and the COVID Vaccination Clinic. Her hands-on technique and personal touch have made it possible for multiple (at least dozens!) staff members to navigate seamlessly (and nearly flawlessly!) throughout the entirety of the pandemic, despite regulations changing quite often and without advanced notice, in some cases. It was a very rewarding experience to be a part of her team, which really feels more like a family. As an individual who came to this hospital not knowing anyone or even what it would be like working in a hospital during a pandemic, Courtney truly went very far above and beyond what any manager would do to ensure safety, comfortability, understanding, integrity, and last but not least, camaraderie. Coming to work has never felt like an obligation, but rather something to look forward to every single day. It has been an incredible experience working with her these last couple of years and I cannot thank her enough for the knowledge she has passed on, as well as the kindness and compassion she has shown to us all. Not only was she a tremendous leader, but also a confidant and someone we always know we can trust when we need to vent. If anyone deserves recognition for outstanding leadership, I assure you it is Courtney Davis because she certainly has made a positive impact on all our lives.
