This letter comes right from my heart and soul as I arrived at Riverview Hospital here in Red Bank, NJ as my health was deteriorating. Of course, I was scared and confused, and that should not be the case being a Vietnam Veteran. I thought it would be easy for me but boy I sure was wrong until I met a nurse named Sean. So many thoughts would run through my mind knowing I was here because of complications due to my having pancreatic cancer. Every time I needed blood work done it was hard to find my veins, not good, but Sean would take extra time with me and talk and never game up on me and made sure it never hurt me. And no matter how many times I would need Sean he was always by my side understanding me with all of my questions. He explained in detail each and every medication and what they were for. His knowledge of the human body and bedside manner was excellent. Sean is a perfect example of what a nurse should be. He is my nurse, my guardian angel and as soon as I met him I knew I was in good hands. Today I am happy and feeling in good mind and spirit and healthy! It's amazing how one person can change your life. I am grateful Sean chose a career in nursing. I also believe I have found a great nurse and friend. Sean, I want very much to thank you for all you have done for me and still continue to do for everyone you meet. Thanks again!!
